Luxury Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is a great option for those who want to see the main attractions of the original Inca trail in half the time and requires less effort than the original Luxury 4 days Inca hike to Machu Picchu. The beautiful remains of Wiñayhuayna, which is known as the little Machupicchu, will still be visible on this two-day Inca trek.
You will have the chance to see Machupicchu twice at this best 2-day Inca trek including Hotel. The hike for this short two-day hike to Machu Picchu Picchu is gentler than the original four-day, three-night Inca trail. At the end of the trip, there is a chance to relax in the hot springs of Aguas Calientes.

This shorter version of the Classic Inca Trail Trek allows guests to enjoy the splendor of trekking along the world-famous Inca Trail as well as visit the most beautiful Incan ruins along the way to Machu Picchu, which is Winay Wayna. Sweeping vistas, perfectly constructed terraces, and stunning views of Incan ruins make this an unforgettable trek through the Andes!
After immersing in the cloud forest, guests will arrive at the Inca Citadel through Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), which offers the first view of the Lost City of the Incas. Guests will then continue the scenic trek to the entrance of Machu Picchu where they will take a bus the remainder of the way to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
A delectable dinner will be included at their comfortable hotel and the remainder of the evening will be theirs to explore the eclectic town of Machu Picchu Pueblo. After waking up amidst the tropical Andes, Day 2 will be dedicated to enjoying the splendor and beauty of mystical Machu Picchu! Guests will enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu with their private, knowledgeable guide.
After exploration of the site, a gourmet lunch will be enjoyed at one of the top restaurants in Machu Picchu Pueblo. The day will conclude with transportation via train & private vehicle to the guest’s Cusco hotel.

2 DAYS INCA TRAIL ITINERARI
Day 1: hike to Wiñayhuayna -Machupicchu
At 4 am you will be picked up from your hotel and continue for 2 hours in the direction of Ollantaytambo. Here you will board the Machupicchu Train but we will get off the train at Km 104, before the last stop of Peru KM 104, the town of Aguas Calientes. You will pass the control center and begin walking gradually on the Inka Trail towards the Wiñayhuayna Inca site.
You will have the opportunity to explore the Inka remains and your Tour leader will explain valuable information about the area, after which you will stop at the Winayhuayna campground to enjoy your lunch and use the facilities.
You will continue walking along the Inca Trail for another 2 hours until you reach the Gate of the Sun. This is the main entrance to Machupicchu. Here you will be able to take lots of photographs. Please note that only part of Machu Picchu is open at this point. You will have access to the full archaeological site the next day.
After taking your dream photos, you will take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes and enjoy a nice hot shower at your hotel before dinner.

Day 2: Visit the lost and mystical city of the Incas.
After your adventure on these two best days on the Inca Trail, we strongly recommend that you wake up early in the morning for many reasons. We want you to avoid the long lines at the bus station so you can catch one of the first buses to Machu Picchu. It will truly be a beautiful and spectacular sight. After two hours of a guided tour, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the site on your own.
If you purchased the optional entrance to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain your tour leader will drop you off at the entrance while you go explore on your own. You will be informed what time to return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and then board the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, depending on your schedule. Peru Tour Leaders will ensure your transportation, we will wait for you outside the Peru train station site and take you back to Cusco and drop you off at your respective hotel.

Specific Information About Trekking the Luxury Inca Trail Hike
The Inca Trail is not open in February
Campsites or itineraries are subject to change, depending on the time of booking and availability of campsites. The Ministry of Culture, the government institution responsible for operating the Inca Trail, allocates campsites to authorized trekking companies on a first-come, first-served basis, and so we cannot guarantee that all campsites described in this itinerary will be available when you book.
Booking Your Luxury Inca Trail Hike
A scanned copy of your passport and a non-refundable deposit must be provided upon booking a Luxury Inca Trail hike. This is due to government regulations that require complete passport details and full payment of the Machu Picchu entrance fee in order to issue a permit. Your reservation will only be confirmed when we have your entrance ticket in our hands.
If your passport number changes after you book, you must tell us immediately or you may lose your booking! If the name or number on your passport is different from the name or number on your Inca Trail permit, you will not be allowed to start the trek and you will not be entitled to a refund.
You must carry your original passport with you on the trail.
If you booked a Luxury Inca Trail hike at a student rate, you must bring the required documentation on the trail with you. If you do not present this documentation, you will not be allowed to start the trek and you will not be entitled to a refund, nor given an opportunity to pay the full rate.
Extras & Upgrades on the Luxury Inca Trail Hike
If you’d like to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, let us know at the time of booking as it requires a separate permit.
This trek includes transportation by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo Luxury service (Luxury Class), or equivalent Inca Rail service, followed by private vehicle transport from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.
